Gower College Swansea Accountancy students Kelly-Marie Besley, Jemma Dryden and Rachel Pompa, who recently represented the college at the AAT (Association of Accounting Technicians) Worldskills regional heat at Sketty Hall, have reached the semi-finals.
This is the first time a Welsh college has made the semi-finals, to be held in London on 11 May. As well as Gower College Swansea, Coleg Gwent has also reached the next stage.
"Over 60 teams from across the UK took part so this is an amazing achievement," says lecturer Paul Sizer. "Only the best teams from across all the regional heats are selected for the semi-finals and, if our team get through, the next step will be the final at The Skills Show in Birmingham on 14 - 16 November."
