We are absolutely delighted to confirm that the Vanilla Pod, following an impromptu visit by a local Environmental Health Officer last week, has been awarded a rating of 5 - the highest hygiene rating available.
The top rating of 5 means that the Vanilla Pod, and associated training kitchens, were found to have ‘very good’ hygiene standards.
“It is critical that we teach our students the importance of excellent food hygiene practices, along with preventative practices that should be implemented, to avoid food poisoning and cross contamination," says Learning Area Manager Mark Clement. "I am so pleased that the efforts of all staff and students in the Hospitality & Catering Department have been recognised.”
