The college held its annual Health Sciences Careers Day on the Gorseinon campus on Thursday 27th June. Former students of the college who are now studying medicine, dentistry, veterinary sciences, pharmacy and other healthcare related courses at university had agreed to return to talk about their courses and to answer any questions.
Dr Stewart McConnell, the college Medical Progression Tutor, who organised the day, explained: “This event is provided for the benefit of first year students as they consider what course to take when they leave college and they always find this opportunity to speak face-to-face with those currently studying on these courses to be invaluable. We extended an invitation to sixth form pupils from local schools so that they could also benefit from this experience.”
