A group of Hairdressing students at Gower College Swansea will soon see their work on proud display in a national chain of ‘walk in’ beauty bars.
The students, all part of the Level 3 Hairdressing course at the Broadway Centre, recently took part in a promotional event organised by Arch Angelz aimed at creating fashion forward hairstyles to be used as part of their style bar menu within their style bars in New Look and Debenhams.
Arch Angelz visited the college with their photographic and creative directors in tow and students were asked to produce their own styles which were then photographed and judged.
The work of Jessica Thornton, Gemma Davies, Ceri-ann Williams, Becky Morgan, Fran Marino, Sarah Taylor and Kelsey Allen was selected to appear in the completed style menu.
“This is a great accolade for our teaching staff and our learners, who have each received a copy of the style bar menu card with their images included and a certificate that they can add to their portfolios,” says Broadway Centre Manager Bernie Wilkes.
Arch Angelz is a national chain of ‘walk in’ beauty bars that incorporate brow, lash, nail and hair services.
“We’ll be delighted to return to Gower College Swansea for the spring summer season, giving even more students the opportunity to be entered into the style bar menu promotion,” says Arch Angelz Operations Director Dee Alkusairy.
The selected styles were:
- Breakfast at Tiffany’s (Jessica Thornton)
- From the office to the dancefloor (Gemma Davies)
- Made in Manhattan (Ceri-ann Williams)
- Men go wild for Olivia Wilde (Becky Morgan)
- Rock royalty (Fran Marino)
- Silver screen siren (Sarah Taylor)
- Your local celebrity (Kelsey Allen)
